Common Objective (CO), formerly Ethical Fashion Forum, is a global business network for the fashion industry with Vivienne Westwood and Amber Valetta amongst its founding members. A key component of the system is to accurately match members with each other (as well as matching members with content), based on a variety of factors such as preferences, location and type of business. Lima Bean was approached to architect and build the updated version of the technology from the ground up.
We worked closely with CO to determine the best way of accurately matching members with each other as well as the CO content. Once initial proof of concepts were done, Lima Bean developed the underlying data model and system architecture to facilitate the matching functionality, as well as building out the member, content, search and recurring payment modules.
CO continues to grow, with more than 17,000 members and close to 2,000 businesses registering in the first year from all over the world. Members engage, connect and collaborate on the platform. CO continues to publish bespoke content on the platform, having published more than 200 free articles and close to a hundred articles behind a paywall and only available to pro members. The team continues to invest in further functionality growing the offering for its members.
