The brief

Ackermans is a long standing client of ours and one of the most popular digital campaigns run each year is Ackermans Baby of the Year. This is an annual competition to find the next “face of Ackermans”, where 12 finalists win a share of R 100,000 in prizes.

What we did

Lima Bean conceptualised, designed and developed the Ackermans Baby of the Year microsite, letting parents easily and quickly upload details of their baby. It was especially important to test and streamline the process on mobile, which accounts for the bulk of the traffic.

The result

The site attracts over 150,000 visitors each month, with an average session duration of over 5 minutes and close to 7 pages per session. 2019 is set to be a record year, with projections of close to 100,000 entries for this year.
